A little about me…
my name is Soph, I am an Aussie who’s recently returned home after living overseas for ten years. In 2019 I took a year-long career break from my job in Finance in NYC to travel the world. At the risk of sounding cliché, after seeing the devastating effects of environmental neglect across South America, Europe, Africa and Asia, I was really inspired to DO something. That's when I started my Sustainability Leadership course which taught me just how critical our daily decisions can be, to lead change and most importantly, to remain hopeful.
Why Australians?
When living in NYC, I became familiar with the great work being done by innovative US companies so when I got home, I wanted to seek out these companies here in Aus! The Sustainable Stuff is a celebration of the incredible Australian companies working towards a better future. I'm eager to set up my next home thoughtfully, and wanted to share my findings with you.
The boring stuff.
I am new to this so I thought while I've got you, I'd mention a couple of things… While I am just starting out, a lot of the photography on this website is royalty free stock photography. I am working with a lot of these brands to bring you real product shots so stay tuned! Also, I have done my very best to research these companies so that you don't have to but the opinions are my own (based on my research alone) so please be mindful when making your own decisions.
